Elder Rachel Luckey was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio and now resides in Swansea, SC. She has been preaching for over 30 years. She received her bachelor’s degree in Human Resources from Xavier University, a joint Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of South Carolina and the
College of Charleston.
Elder Luckey is no stranger to ministry, but even more than that she understands the multi-faceted demands that it brings. In order to disciple the nations and make an impact, Elder Luckey founded a community action program named, Tristate Community Action Program, which was a program designed to help individuals strive to self- sufficiency. This program reached out to the Greater Cincinnati area and the round-about regions.
As part of her life long dream she originated a women’s ministry in the greater Cincinnati area called, “Designing Women”. This
ministry’s mission is to empower women to excel to the next level in their lives in the pursuit of excellence. The purpose of “Designing Women” is to facilitate programs and activities, which will provide a venue for women to better equip themselves to seize their place in the Kingdom by educating and training one another SPIRITUALLY, PERSONALLY, FINANCIALLY AND PROFESSIONALLY, providing a common forum for the exchange of information.
“Designing Women” gave birth to a new Ministry and revival sparked as Life by Design church was founded and impacted inner city Cincinnati. That ministry assignment was a hub for the lost, discouraged and the broken. During that moment in ministry Elder Luckey completed her book entitled “Good Grief”. Life By Design as well as “Good Grief” ministered to hundreds and that assignment was completed. During her years of ministry, she has been instrumental in street ministries, Director of the Youth Ministries, Choir Director, Sunday School Teacher, and even served as Assistant Pastor.
Elder Rachel is married to a loving and hardworking man Deacon Angelo Luckey, Sr. Together they have three beautiful children, Cassandra (Quincy) Sutton, the late Angelo Jr. and Nicole Luckey. However the proudest moments of her life is being grandmother of six, Kamonta Dewberry, Kaimiah, and Angel
Luckey, Quincy (Quin), Rachel Caroline, and Elva Queenslei Sutton.
