Lady Ruthie Ligons
Lady Ruthie Ligons and her husband, Bishop Alvin Ligons, are the founders of Faith Outreach Christian Center in Ridge Spring, South Carolina. Founded in 1970 as a church for those seeking deliverance from hurt, pain, and sin; many laborers, leaders and pastors have been birthed from their ministry. In their 53 years of ministry, they have served as Pastors of two congregations, Faith Outreach Christian Center and St. James FBH Church in Irmo, SC, as well as traveled all across the United States winning souls, maturing disciples, and bringing reconciliation to marriages.Their outreach includes missions in Israel, Africa, Australia, Europe,
Wales, and China.
As a Bishop's wife, Lady Ligons has always had a heart for teaching women, particularly in the areas of family and prayer. She believes in not only reading about the amazing Proverbs 31 women, but exemplifying that life each day in public and at home. She also believes that strong families are the foundation for strong homes, strong communities, and a strong nation. She has ministered at countless conferences, seminars, and workshops, sharing the Gospel of Truth regarding taking our places as godly women, using her own life story as her greatest testimony.
Integrity, hard work, and prayer are the foundations for everything she does. Lady Ligons and Bishop Ligons are the proud parents of three wonderful children, Love, Keith, and Corey; and a daughter -in-law Tynisha (McRae) Ligons, who are all active in ministry, the community, and in education. They all reside in the Aiken County area. In her leisure, Lady Ligons enjoys mentoring women - young and seasoned, interior decorating - including designing custom drapery, baking, and traveling. Her travels include trips to England, Costa Rica, Jamaica, the Bahamas, the Grand Cayman Islands, and Cozumel, Mexico. God has blessed Lady Ligons with a creative anointing for teaching real Bible truths with practical applications to better our lives as daughters of the Most High here on earth.
